Bryan D. Matthews was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he received a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Communications. He played for the Duquesne University mens soccer team and graduated on the Deans List. He also made the Atlantic 10 Commissioners Honor Roll and the Director of Athletics Honor Roll.

After college, he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and attended law school at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. While in law school, he completed an internship at the Office of the State Attorney in Broward County, clerked for a plaintiffs firm in Fort Lauderdale, and clerked for an insurance defense firm in Fort Lauderdale. He graduated from law school in the top 14% of his class with honors.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Matthews accepted a position at a statewide defense firm in West Palm Beach, Florida where he practiced civil litigation and represented major corporations and insurance companies in cases involving premises liability, automobile accidents, PIP, workers compensation, property damage, and construction defects. He was eventually promoted to manage the firms Orlando office. Mr. Matthews has always wanted to represent injured individuals, so he was very excited to have been offered a position at the Nation Law Firm. He now uses his extensive experience defending corporations and insurance companies in representing those injured through the negligence of others.

Mr. Matthews is a member of the Florida Bar and the Florida Justice Association. He also represents our countrys service members for the American Bar Associations Military Pro Bono Project.
